State of the Fleet 2021
Well last year was a complete bust wasn’t it? So might as well start the new lockdown of 2021 summing up last year and the plans for the fleet for the coming year.

In the second “Russian Metal” video, I go underneath the Lada and see how does a 44 year old Lada 2101 shape up. The results surprised me!
It’s time we start to peel back the layers and see what state the metal is on Nikita the Lada. It means removing some sound proofing using a fire extinguisher. It doesn’t go well I’m afraid…
Finally after 14 months Nikita, my Lada 2101, finally arrives home! Watch the video tour and introduction of this beautiful Lada Zhiguli.
Nikita the Lada 2101 should be in the garage next to where I’m writing this. But it isn’t. It’s a funny story of miscommunication and a whole heap of mold. Or Coronavirus, I’m not sure.
I blame James May for introducing me to the original Lada 2101. It’s been produced for more than 40 years, and over 20 million have been made. Now I’ve got one, and here’s the plan I have for it.
It’s about time I wrote about the state of the fleet for 2020, and set out the plans for each of the cars I have. It’s going to be a very exciting year – even if I do say so myself!
